Lisa Sanfilippo is a qualified UKCP accredited integrative psychotherapist, with MA research into the interaction between yoga and psychotherapy for the body and mind.
She has published two books about Sleep Recovery and works with people and companies, on a mission to help us all sleep better and feel more energised each day.
She was a yoga teacher for close to two decades, and has trained yoga teachers and yoga therapists with Triyoga, Yogacampus and the Minded Institute in London. She currently trains psychotherapists in the Sleep Recovery method with The Grove. She holds a BSc from Brown University in the US, an MSc from The London School of Economics and trained as a therapist at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE)

How sessions work
Each session is personalised to you as an individual, and works to uncover the roots of your sleep difficulties using our 5 Step Sleep Recovery™ Method as our framework to look at your habits and patterns along the physical, energetic, mental, emotional and even spiritual aspects of life.

The process & pricing
Sleep Recovery™ covers anywhere between 2 and 10 sessions depending on the issues you are facing, and the level of support you need.
Before you are accepted to work with Lisa, she will undertake a 15-20 minute Suitability Chat and either accepting you on to her Client Roster where there is space or depending on your needs, or referring you to one of our Sleep Recovery™ Practitioners who are all very experienced, and capable.
Sessions with Lisa start at £150 per hour with proceeds going into Sleep Recovery™ to further our work.
On some occasions Lisa offers concessionary rates to clients, drawing upon knowledge in these sessions to inform practice and build the knowledge bases by creating anonymous case examples for our Practitioner Community.

Sleep recovery is a holistic process of looking at your habits and how you use your energy throughout the day.
We take into consideration your lifestyle and time of life, as well as 5 important areas –physical, energetic, mental, emotional and even life-purpose/ spiritual aspects of what might be sabotaging your sleep and how to help you repair it.
In practice-we’ll go through your average day and lifestyle looking for the highest impact, quickest wins in making small tweaks to your day.
We’ll then tailor a practice of movement and rest that helps you feel great during the day and create unique micro practices that work for you at bedtime or if you wake in the night.
Unlike using medications to help you sleep, the more you do your sleep recovery practices the more effective they become.
If something more emotional or psychological is at the root of your sleep problems, we have practices to help you to help yourself, and a great team of sleep recovery counselling/ pscyhotherapy professionals who can help you.
No experience necessary. You don’t have to even ‘like’ yoga to do sleep recovery. We’ll create movements and ways of managing your nervous system that work for you – within your range of motion and lifestyle.
The ‘yoga’ in sleep recovery means we take a holistic approach - not just stretching in spandex. Being open to using your breath, body, and taking calm moments of down-time can help you make profound changes in your sleep and feelings of alertness all day. It doesn’t matter what you call it, as long as you’re open to exploring what works for you.
