Lisa Sanfilippo is the founder of Sleep Recovery™ and author of the books Sleep Recovery (Bloomsbury, 2020) and Yoga Therapy for Insomnia and Sleep Recovery (Singing Dragon, 2019) which draw upon her own experiences of all manner of sleepless nights, extensive research and work with students and clients over nearly 20 years as a yoga teacher, and more recently as a psychotherapist.

Education & Professional Credentials
Lisa's work is informed by her academic background: She originally trained as a sociologist at Brown University in the US, and received her first Master's degree in social policy at the London School of Economics. She brings an analytical approach to her work in wellbeing, with emphasis on educational and reflective practice.
She qualified as a psychotherapist at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education in London where she received a second Master’s degree in psychotherapy research, investigating the linkages between yoga and psychotherapy.
She maintains a private psychotherapy practice in London and online, and teaches workshops and courses in Sleep Recovery™ for individuals and organisations. Lisa offers Sleep Recovery™ training for therapists, health and mental health practitioners, yoga teachers, educators and anyone who works with people who wants to help them sleep better.
